Thank you for being a part of the Advent by Candlelight ministry. It‘s a morning gathering for women to prepare their hearts for the coming of Christ. Table hostesses serve to create a warm and
welcoming environment. Thank you for serving as a hostess for this special event.

An Advent by Candlelight hostess invites women to join them for the morning of food, fellowship
and quiet reflection. We encourage two people to co-host a table and share the responsibilities.
The hostesses will decorate a table, set the table, host during the event, and clean up, after the
event. It’s much easier if two people co-host together.
The Advent by Candlelight event will take place on Saturday, December 6, at Friendship Celebration. This event is complimentary. Ladies don’t have to be a member of Friendship Celebration to attend. Everyone is invited! Children are welcome as long as they can sit quietly during the 30-45 minute program. Childcare and breakfast are provided for children not old enough to participate in the event.

none of these times works for you. Please contact Kerri Stewart at kbkestewart@gmail.com.
Thursday, December 4, 12 pm -8:00 pm
Friday, December 5, 8:30 am-3:30 pm
Tables must be ready by 3:30 pm on Friday, December 5.
Women may attend this event in one of two ways: by accepting an invitation from a hostess or by
registering as an individual attendee. Please note: all women-whether invited by you (hostess) or
registering individually - must complete the online registration at the church website, friendshipcelebration.org, or contact the church office.
They DO NOT register through you. Registration IS required. We are unable to accept walk-ins on the day of the event. Space is limited.
Filling a table is optimal, but not required. We will do our best to round out the table with other
registered participants.
Please DO NOT add anyone else to your table after November 16 unless you first check with Kerri to be sure there is still space available at your table.
New this year is a catered meal. While this is a FREE event, donations are being accepted during
registration to help cover the cost of the meal. We are also blessed to have the men of the
congregation serve us brunch. Each table will have its own male server. This will allow you time to visit with your guests. Once the ladies are seated and prayers are said, the men will bring out individual clear plates of food for each lady at the table. Before coming to sit at your table, your guests will have an opportunity to have coffee/tea/water.
Once seated, these items will be served by the male staff at your table. If you would like to sign up your husband or son to serve, click the button below. Brunch is provided for them, too.
The church provides you with a circular 60" round table. You will provide the tablecloth
and Christmas theme decorations. Each round table holds up to 8 people. Don’t forget to include yourself in your count. We prefer cloth tablecloths. A limited number of *white or *black fabric tablecloths are available from the church. Christmas decorations can be as simple or as
fancy as you wish, and can be done in any theme. Please include battery-operated candles on your table. Open flame candles are not allowed. Plan on setting the table for 8 people. You may use fine china, picnic-style tableware, or paper products. The more festive, the better. Please set the table with either a plate or a charger (or both). This will serve as decor, as food will be served on a clear plastic plate. You will also need napkins, silverware, water glasses, coffee cups, and *S/P shakers. Coffee, tea, and water will be served. Please provide tea bags, cream, and sugar/sweetener. You may leave your empty boxes in room 112. Please keep your valuables with you. We suggest you bring plastic bags for dirty
silverware clean-up at the end of the morning. Hostesses are responsible for setting up and cleaning up their tables.
*If needed, you may borrow these items from the church. Please indicate which items you will need when registering as a hostess.
