Worship Teams - Sunday morning services
The morning services are led by four regularly scheduled teams and one 5th Sunday team of singers and instrumentalists (week one , week two etc.) Most of them serve only one Sunday per month, but they are scheduled for both services on that Sunday. For example, we usually have two or three vocalists, and a combination of instruments including two keyboards, guitars, bass guitar, violin, and drums. Occasionally the organ, trumpet and keyboard round out the dynamics required by the church year themes. We rehearse once a week on Thursday evenings depending on the schedules of the singers/accompanists…and whether it is choir season or not which mixes things up.) Blended worship is a good way to describe our services, and because talented individuals come and go in our mobile society, our teams are loosely structured under the leadership of Rebekah Fry. If you wish to bless us with your musical gifts, just contact Rebekah.

Friendship Celebration Choir
The two requirements for membership are an active faith on the singer’s part and a joyful, teachable spirit. It is also nice if the singer can match the tones vocally that the piano is playing. Formal tryouts have not been the norm.
The choir sings for Holy Week services and during the Christmas season. Of course for special services, like the dedication of our new expansion, we learned various new anthems. We have sung for funerals on occasion and other special events like Confirmation. Rehearsals usually begin in mid -October for the Christmas season, with the men and women’s sectionals meeting separately, then in the month of December the joint choirs rehearse as the sanctuary space, need, and schedules allow. Depending on the date of Easter, the choir members begin to rehearse about eight weeks before, or about the length of the Lenten season.
Anyone interested in joining the choir is encouraged to show up at rehearsals which are well publicized or by contacting our Music Director, Rebekah Fry at rfry@friendshipcelebration.org
